Lian Li Launches Silent Force Power Supply Series

After launching MAXIMA Force series, Lian Li is now unveiling Silent Force power supply series. Available in 650 W (PS-S650GE), 750 W (PS-S750GE) and 850 W (PS-S850GE) models, power supplies from this new series use Japanese caps, have active PFC, efficiency over 80%, modular cabling system, two +12 V rails (650 W model) or four +12V rails (750 W and 850 W models), a 135 mm fan and protections against overvoltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), overload (OPP), overcurrent (OCP), over temperature (OTP) and short-circuit (SCP). These units are already available on the market priced at USD 159 (650 W), USD 195 (750 W) and USD 210 (850 W). Below you can see the labels containing all power specs from the launched models.

New Thermaltake Power Supplies

Thermaltake has expanded its Toughpower QFan power supply line-up with the launch of 750 W (W0203) and 850 W (W0204) models. This new PSU uses Japanese capacitors, has active PFC, a single +12V rail, modular cabling system, efficiency of over 80%, 140-mm fans and protections against overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP) and short-circuit (SCP). Both new PSUs are set to become available before the end of this quarter.

Arctic Cooling Launches Fusion 550R Power Supply

Arctic Cooling, a known cooling solutions manufacture, has just entered the power supply market with the launch of Fusion 550R PSU. This unit, developed in cooperation with Seasonic, can offer a continuous power of 500 W (550 W peak), has active PFC, efficiency up to 86%, an 80 mm fan which speed is automatically controlled (700-2,000 rpm) according to power supply load and temperature, and protections against overvoltage (OVP), overload (OPP) and short-circuit (SCP). Fusion 550R power supply will reach the market next month with a MSRP of USD 94.95.

Lian Li Launches MAXIMA Force Power Supply Series

Lian Li has just launched a new power supply series targeted to gamers. MAXIMA Force, as it is called, has three models: 470 W (PC-A470GB), 650 W (PC-A650GB) and 750 W (PC-A750GB). Power supplies from this new series use Japanese caps, have active PFC, efficiency up to 82%, a 120 mm fan and protections against overvoltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), overload (OPP), overcurrent (OCP), over temperature  (OTP) and short-circuit (SCP). According to Lian Li these power supplies can deliver up to 100 W more than their declared power output for one hour. No word about pricing and availability. Below you can see the labels containing all power specs from the launched models.

OCZ Introduces ModXStream Pro Power Supply Line-Up

OCZ has just unveiled a new power supply line-up called ModXStream Pro. Available in 400 W (OCZ400MXSP), 500 W (OCZ500MXSP), 600 W (OCZ600MXSP) and 700 W (OCZ700MXSP) models, power supplies from this new series have PFC active, modular cable system, two +12 V rails, efficiency up to 82%, a 140 mm (400 W model) or a 120 mm (500 W, 600 W and 700W models) fan and protections against overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP), short-circuit (SCP). No word about price and availability.

Sapphire FirePSU 625 W Power Supply

Sapphire, a known graphics cards manufacturer, has just announced the launch of FirePSU 625 W power supply. This unit comes with a 24-pin motherboard cable, an ATX12V connector, an EPS12V connector, six peripheral power connectors, nine SATA power connectors, one floppy disk power connector and four PCI auxiliary power connectors. Also, this power supply features PFC active, a 120-mm fan with adjustable fan speed, modular cable system, three +12 V rails, efficiency up to 85% at 230 V and the following protections: overload protection (OLP), over voltage protection (OVP), under voltage protection (UVP), short-circuit protection (SCP) and over temperature protection (OTP). Currently this product is available only in APAC region.

OCZ Unveils New EliteXStream Power Supply

OCZ unveiled the EliteXStream power supply family for high-powered gaming systems and workstations. OCZ designed the 800W and 1000W EliteXStream by utilizing the "single +12V rail" design. OCZ Intros 4 New Silencer Power Supplies

OCZ released new additions to the Silencer line of power supplies from PC Power & Cooling: the 370W, 420W, 500W and a 500W EPS12V Dell compatible model. All the new Silencer models have a single +12 Volt Rail for optimum power distribution to all components.

Corsair Intros HX1000W Power Supply

Corsair announced the HX1000W power supply unit (PSU), the world’s first 1000 watt PSU to be certified under the 3-way Nvidia SLI Technology Certification Program, says the manufacturer. The Corsair HX1000W features twin-transformer, true independent dual +12V rail design, 140mm temperature-controlled fan, DC-to-DC conversion and high-quality solid state capacitors.

It is designed for multi-core CPUs and multi-GPU systems and guarantees full 1000W output at 50ºC operating temperature. The new power supply also has Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) and 80% or more energy efficiency. It will be available in late March priced at USD 280.

OCZ unveiled new Turbo-Cool 860 power supply from PC Power & Cooling, which features adjustable rails and ultra-high efficiency (84%).
 
Users can adjust power rails independently (+3V, +5V, + 12V) via two externally accessible pots. The new Turbo Cool works at 860W Continuous (930W Peak) and has 4 PCI-E and 15 Drive Connector. It also has the industry's longest lifespan (7 years).
